I AM A NEW CLIENT. HOW DO I BOOK?

Hit the Book Now button in the upper righthand corner. Select New Client Consultation from the drop-down list, then choose Add Service and select the service of choice.

WHAT IF I AM NOT READY TO COMMIT?

Not a problem at all! Feel free to book a New Client Consultation as a standalone service and we can discuss your future booking in person or e-mail me to set up a video consultation.

DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK?

While mask-wearing is optional at this time I defer to what is right for you. Should you opt to wear a mask, I shall join you in doing the same. Please also let me know if there are unvaccinated children in your household under the age of 5.

WHY DO I NEED TO BOOK ADDITIONAL TIME?

Some hair lengths, textures, and densities need additional time. This there is no additional cost associated with booking additional time and is to ensure we do not feel rushed during your service.

WHAT COLOUR SERVICE SHOULD I BOOK?

This part can get confusing, understandably. I’ve broken down the following definitions for ease:

Colour - a base colour (up to 1/2” from scalp), without refreshing the mid-shaft and ends
Gloss - a refresher for mid-shaft and ends, commonly booked with other services
Balayage - all forms of highlights OR lowlights should book this service
Colour Wash - base-breaking, or lightening 1/2” from the scalp slightly in between highlights. Only applicable to blondes; please seek consultation before booking.

Please use the Add Service feature to book multiple services as they apply.

DO YOU FOIL?

Yes, I do! Foiling is still very much a valid technique in the hair industry. That said, the hair has developed many more approaches to highlighting, all of which are varied. While I list Balayage as my primary highlighting service for ease of service menu I may recommend foiling when appropriate.

WHY DO YOU NOT LIST A PHONE NUMBER?

As a self-employed individual I have found working over e-mail to be the most effective way to do business. This ensures inquiries do not slip through the cracks and that the guest in my chair (who could be you!) enjoys a service free of distractions. I strive to respond to all e-mails within 24 hours when possible.

WHY AREN’T YOUR PRICES GENDERED?

While gendered pricing has been a long-standing element of the hair industry, it quite frankly is rooted in flawed logic and assumptions of the craft. As such, many stylists such as myself have moved to the approach of unilateral pricing.

I AM TRANSITIONING OR EXPLORING MY GENDER EXPRESSION. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW?

As a gender affirming stylist I understand this journey is complex, varied, and can pose its challenges, but is also a beautiful, wonderful thing.
